1. Overview

TEPS (Tiling, Epoxy and Plumbing Services), a division of Bonke Bathi Mbuyisa (BBM) (Pty) Ltd, is committed to full compliance with all applicable South African National Standards (SANS) in the execution of our tiling, epoxy flooring, and plumbing services. This document outlines our commitment to these standards.

2. Plumbing Compliance

All plumbing work performed by TEPS adheres to the following SANS standards:

• SANS 10254 — The installation, replacement, repair and maintenance of fixed electric storage water heaters
• SANS 10400-P — Drainage installations for buildings
• SANS 10400-W — Water installations in buildings
• SANS 1200 L — Medium pressure pipelines
• All plumbing installations include a Certificate of Compliance (COC) upon completion

3. Tiling Compliance

Our tiling installations comply with:

• SANS 10186 — The fixing of ceramic wall and floor tiles
• SANS 1580 — Ceramic wall and floor tiles
• Proper subsurface preparation, waterproofing membranes in wet areas, and precision leveling in accordance with industry best practice

4. Epoxy Flooring Compliance

All epoxy flooring systems are applied in accordance with:

• Manufacturer specifications and technical data sheets
• SANS 10400-T — Fire protection requirements where applicable
• Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements for chemical handling and application
• Anti-slip ratings appropriate to the environment (residential, commercial or industrial)

5. Health & Safety

TEPS operates in full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) No. 85 of 1993 and its regulations. All our workers are trained in safe work practices and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is used on every site.

6. Materials

We source materials from reputable, certified suppliers. All materials meet the minimum SANS quality standards applicable to their use. Certificates and technical data sheets are available on request.

7. Certificates of Compliance

Where required by law or requested by the client, TEPS issues Certificates of Compliance (COC) upon successful completion and inspection of work. These certificates confirm that the installation meets all applicable SANS standards and regulatory requirements.
